The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority plans to install 300 public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in and around the city with the cost pegged at Rs 18 kilowatt per hour (kWh)
Hyderabad that is home to 150 EV charging stations is targeting to set up one charging station per every three kilometers and plans increase the number where the requirement is more.
The facilities will be installed on a revenue-sharing model as mutually agreed by the GHMC and TSREDCO.
The State government has recently launched TSEV – Telangana’s first electric mobility awareness web portal, which is hosted by TSREDCO, the nodal agency for setting up charging stations within the State is facilitating the scale-up of electric vehicles.
