Shadowfax wants to convert 75% of its fleet to EVs by 2025. Its delivery partners will use Hero Electric's two-wheeler EVs to ensure sustainability in last-mile logistics

Hero Electric, India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, delivered the first batch of 100 electric scooters to Shadowfax Technologies, India's largest crowdsourced third-party logistics network for last-mile delivery. Piyush Prasad, Business Head of Hero Electric, and Praharsh Chandra, Co-founder and COO of Shadowfax, were present at the delivery ceremony in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Shadowfax wants to convert 75% of its fleet to EVs by 2025 via a strategic cooperation with Hero Electric. Hero Electric's two-wheeler EVs will be utilised by Shadowfax's delivery partners to ensure sustainability in last-mile logistics. As part of its 'No Emission' objective, Hero Electric is creating several B2B relationships in the delivery sector as it spearheads the transition from internal combustion engine cars to electric vehicles. The government's promotion of sustainable mobility initiatives and the improvement of infrastructure are accelerating the conversion of B2B delivery fleets to electric vehicles.

Sohinder Gill, the Chief Executive Officer of Hero Electric, stated, "This delivery of 100 e-scooters is just the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial cooperation. The last-mile delivery market is expanding at an unprecedented rate, with more companies adopting a sustainable EV ecosystem to achieve their business objectives. This alliance will secure a carbon-free fleet in the logistics market while limiting emissions and adapting to consumer needs. As more businesses opt for cleaner alternatives to reach consumers, policymakers at the federal and state levels continue to advocate for this transformation. Through our extensive network footprint throughout India, Hero strives to provide comprehensive solutions to its B2B clients."

Praharsh Chandra, Co-founder and COO of Shadowfax, stated, "With over 1.2 million monthly transacting partners providing over 10 million orders every day, Shadowfax has been actively pursuing environmentally friendly mobility solutions. Focusing on facilitating sustainable deliveries, we have teamed with Hero Electric and obtained 100 e-scooters for our delivery partners as the first step on our road to reducing carbon emissions. In the coming months, we will deploy 1,000 e-scooters to ensure that the majority of our fleet of delivery vehicles are electric vehicles. We anticipate long-term cooperation with Hero Electric as we work together to improve the lives of our consumers and the environment."

Shadowfax ensures on-time delivery to clients in 900+ locations and 8000+ zip codes on behalf of their clientele, which includes several unicorns and e-commerce giants. Hero Electric has recently opened a new dealership in Lucknow and brought out electric scooters from Mahindra's Pithampur factory as part of its mission to change transportation. In an effort to convert 65 per cent of sales from the B2B market within the next three years, Hero Electric has been advancing its efforts to give consumers with flawless delivery experiences and maximum traction towards the EV transition in India.
